TOMBALL CHRISTIAN HOMESCHOOL FEATURES IMPRESSIVE 2022 FOOTBALL SCHEDULE!

COMMENTARY

As we said on "Chalk Talk Live" Monday night, things in Texas private and parochial high school athletics will slow a little bit in July, but we await the excitement of volleyball, football and fall soccer - and cross country - that will begin at the first of August.

We saw Tomball Christian High School playing a couple of Tuesdays ago in John Cooper School's Tuesday night 7-on-7 league with Tomball Rosehill and St. Pius X and Coach Chris Criswell's Warriors look to be even more competitive in 2022.

And they've put together a pretty impressive schedule to try and capture the title of being the best homeschool football team in the country this year.

Tomball Christian will open on the road against UIL 16-4A, Division II Bishop, who made the playoffs a year ago.  They'll take on SPC powers Kinkaid and Episcopal in weeks two and 10, respectively.

Weeks four and six will feature TAPPS playoff teams in 9-3 Austin St. Michael's Catholic and defending Division III champion Cypress Christian

In week 11, they'll scrum with Spring Legacy School of Sports Sciences and that leaves games against four other homeschool programs.

TCHS will travel in week three to Lafayette, Louisiana to play Acadiana Christian, welcome Cedar Hill DasCHE to the Spring area in week nine, but the key games will be in weeks five and eight when they have neutral site matchups against Springfield (MO) Lighthouse Christian and Tulsa (OK) NOAH Homeschool in Jenks, Oklahoma and Plano, respectively.

Could be a very exciting year for the Warriors.

COACHING MOVES

Cjay Brown announced on Twitter that he is leaving Houston The Kinkaid School to become the head boys and girls track and field coach at Houston Christian High School.

He said, "I would like to thank Coach Nathan Larned and The Kinkaid School for a great five years of growth, development and being apart of a winning culture."
