VB: 33 Private and Parochial Schoolers earn AVCA Phenom List Recognition

Thirty-three (33) of the 213 athletes from Texas recognized by the American Volleyball Coaches (AVCA) and their annual Phenom List are from private and parochial high schools.

The requirements for an athlete to be on the AVCA Phenom List include the student-athlete being an underclassmen who has been recognized in some form for her outstanding volleyball abilities (All-Region, All-State, PVB Watchlist, USAV HP team, etc.) and the student-athlete's high school head coach, club coach, or club director must be an active AVCA member.

Uncommitted athletes on the AVCA Phenom Watch List are invited by the AVCA to participate in the Phenom College Preparatory Program.

The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA), for its tenth straight year, will host its invitation only AVCA Phenom College Preparatory Program.

Since the start of the Phenom College Prep Program, 80% of participating athletes end up on college rosters!

The program, which will take place from December 16-18, 2021 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio, is the only showcase that consistently has more than 200 college coaches in attendance.
