Freshman Jesach Arroz of Burton Adventist Academy was the top runner of a handful of private and parochial school runners at the Hillsboro Invitational on Friday, August 27.
He ran the 3A Boys race and its 5K distance in 22:48.23.
Crowley Nazarene Christian Academy's top runner was freshman Nolan Wells, who finished in 24:11.92.
In the 3A girls race, Burton Adventist scored as a team, finishing 11th.
Crowley Nazarene Christian Academy junior Noelle Brezillac led all private school girls with a two-mile time of 17:32.59.
Burton Adventist was led by freshman Kennady Washington. She stopped the clock in 20:00.72.
No private and parochial school runners competed in either of the JV boys or girls races.
