Tyler Grace Community School junior Grayson Gaddis was second overall on Friday at Kaufman's Run With The Lions 5K varsity race.
He was less than 10 seconds behind the overall winner from Commerce with a time of 17:06.35. Twin brother Drew was 28th in 19:02.88.
Grace Community scored as a team, finishing 8th among 13 teams.
Tyler King's Academy was led by freshman Ian Kernodle, who finished 40th in 19:54.59.
In the JV boys 5,000 meters, Corsicana Park Meadows Academy had four runners competing - not enough to score as a team - and they were led by sophomore Nathan Terry, who ran the course in 25:03.78.
Tyler King's Academy and Corscicana Park Meadows Academy both had runners in the JV 3,200 meters race.
Freshmen Chloie Abbie led Park Meadows in 22nd place in a time of 16:44.96 while Tyler King's Academy's top effort came from junior Faith Leach in 17:09.61.
