Dallas Jesuit alum KYLE MULLER became the third Texas private and parochial high school athlete to make their MLB debut in the last two weeks when he got an inning of work for the Atlanta Braves in their 10-8 loss Wednesday night at Fenway Park to the Boston Red Sox.  Muller faced seven batters, gave up two runs on four hits and struck out one.

Three pitchers later for the Braves, former Bullard Brook Hill alum AJ MINTER was tagged with a blown save for the Braves after giving up a pinch-hit grand slam to Christian Arroyo.

+  Former Rice Owl and Tomball Concordia Lutheran alum GLENN OTTO pushed his record to 3-2 on the young MILB season on the strength of a 14-strikeout, seven-inning effort as the Somerset Patriots defeated the Richmond Flying Squirrels, 10-1, on Tuesday night.  He said in the piece below on MILB.com, "“I’m just trying to execute every pitch I can.  We work hard in between starts so that it’s easier on me to just go out and attack and execute each pitch.”
