+ Houston Strake Jesuit alum Matthew Boling was just .04 secs from advancing to tomorrow's 200 meter finals at the USA Track & Field Olympic Trials at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon.  Boling ran 20.27 seconds, but was the third fastest time not in the top three of either of the two heats.

+ Four-sport Oklahoma City Casady star and current University of Oklahoma redshirt junior Isaiah Levingston was sixth overall in Saturday's 400 meter hurdles with a mark of 49.25 seconds at the USA Track & Field Olympic Trials at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon.  Levingston was second among all hurdlers in Thursday's first round in 49.06 before finishing seventh in the semifinals with a time of 49.34 seconds.

+ Burnet Smoking For Jesus Ministry Christian School reported on their Facebook page Saturday night that they had won the Temple Holy Trinity 6 on 6 tournament over Austin Texas School for the Deaf in a matchup of 2020 state champions.  Smoking for Jesus got to the finals by defeating Waco Vanguard while the TSD Rangers took care of Austin Veritas Academy.

+ Colorado School of the Mines announced on Friday that Dallas Bishop Lynch's Charlie Holub would be one of a seven-wrestler recruiting class for the school.  Slated to compete at 197 pounds, Holub was Lynch's team captain, 85-31 in his career and was the 2020 TAPPS and Texas Prep state champion at 220 and the 2021 TAPPS and Texas Prep state runner-up at 195.
