HOUSTON, May 12 (AP) - St. Louis High School of Castroville, a school with an enrollment of only 26 boys and 14 girls, rode the strong right arm of Ronnie Keller to its 16th straight victory as a feature of the first annual state Catholic schoolboy baseball tourney here Friday.
St. Louis beat Corpus Christi Academy, 3-0, as Keller notched continued unbeaten over the last two and a half years.
Central Catholic of San Antonio upset favored St. Thomas of Houston, 10-7, and St. Edward's of Austin bested Kirwin of Galveston, 9-5.
Central Catholic meets St. Edward's in the only semi-final game at 2 p.m. Saturday with St. Louis of Castroville drawing a bye into the 6 p.m. Saturday championship finals. St. Thomas and Kirwin meet in a consolation game at 2 p.m. with the winner playing the St. Edward's Central Catholic loser for the consolation title at 8 p.m.
