1975 TCIL Golf: Hood Leads Nolan to TCIL Crown

HOUSTON - Nolan, led by Mike Hood, won the Texas Catholic Interscholastic League state golf tournament Friday by finishing with a 36-hole total of 664 at Brye-Burn Country Club.

Hood won individual honors with his rounds of 81-79 on the 72 par course.  He tied with Bob Miller of Antonian of San Antonio and won the playoff.

Nolan beat second-place Dallas Bishop Dunne by seven shots.

Team:  Nolan 664, Bishop Dunne 671, Dallas Bishop Lynch 679, Dallas Jesuit 681, St. Thomas, Houston 700.

Individual:  Mike Hood, Nolan, 160; Bob Miller, Antonian, 160; Ed Quinlan, Dallas Jesuit, 163; Rusty Jedlicha, Dallas Lynch 166; Phil Shaw, Nolan 167.  Other Nolan scores:  Mike McDonald 160, Scott Woodard 160, Barry Corcoran 175.
